We at Allianz believe in a diverse and inclusive workforce. Employing people from different backgrounds and making them feel they belong is a  major driving force behind our success.

Our Global Inclusion Council ensures the implementation of a diversity strategy in all Allianz entities. It is chaired by Niran Peiris, Allianz SE board member, and has been in place since 2007. In addition, some Allianz entities have set up local councils.

The Global Inclusion Council also monitors the implementation of Inclusion & Diversity plans within Allianz Group. The Group Head of Inclusion helps to coordinate the various programs and sees to it that they are in line with Allianz goals.

Employee networks – or resource groups – give individuals a sense of community and the chance to network with colleagues based on a shared identity or experience, as well as with their “friends & allies”. However, the networks also offer the business a great opportunity to consult with them for, e.g., product development questions or communications. They are an important partner for raising awareness, advocating change and setting the diversity agenda.

We are convinced that everybody has special abilities and skills, irrespective of possible disabilities. We know that every impairment is different, so we understand the importance of having our workplaces tailored to each employee’s individual needs, including flexible working hours, special equipment or personal mentorship.

Allianz Pride – Being LGBT+ at Allianz

With our Allianz Pride employee network, we encourage a corporate culture that values the diversity of all our employees, independent of their gender and sexual orientation, makes the most of their talents and creates a working environment free from discrimination. Knowing we can bring our whole selves to work, means we can put all our energy and creativity into our jobs – not having to hide a part of yourself – and contribute jointly towards the success of the Allianz business strategy.

The network aims to:

  • Provide a platform for LGBT+ and their supporters within Allianz
  • Raise awareness about the subject of LGBT+ and promote mutual respect
  • Establish a network of experts for all LGBT+ issues within the Allianz Group
  • Position Allianz as an employer of choice for LGBT+ applicants.

Allianz NEO is the employee network that looks at gender balance, inclusion and equality. It evolved from local women’s networks to a global Allianz community, connecting all networks on the topic of gender balance. Achieving gender balance is not only an area where women can stand to gain, men do too and need to be part of the discussion.

The NEO network is a valuable resource for Allianz to keep the momentum in our journey to gender equality, to help find concrete improvement opportunities, create dialog and allyship, and communicate about important topics like
