Lisa LaFlamme, one of Canada’s most renowned TV journalists who won the Canadian Screen Award for best national news anchor, was fired by CTV News where she worked for 35 years. People watched LaFlamme’s firing in shock, as well as renowned figures such as Anne Murray, who was previously a Grammy award winner. LaFlamme became famous in the year 2020 after she decided to stop dyeing her hair. She revealed that she was unable to go to the salon due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Many wonders about the role of sexism and ageism played in LaFlamme’s dismissal. The Washington Post has the news.
