Yom Hashoah, established in Israel in 1959 by law, is a day set aside for Jews to remember the Holocaust. It is one of the most solemn days of the year. This day is the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Learn more about this day with the United States Holocaust Museum and watch educational videos at the Yad Vashem – The World’s Holocaust Remembrance Centre. If you are close to one of the Holocaust Museums around the world, this week is a good week to visit them.
