What is Learning Experience? Why teachers, schools, colleges, and universities should create the best learning experience?

With the continuous change in learning setup, students are becoming more versatile in adapting new knowledge and information. Through the compelling variety of methods, systems, ways, and ideas, a wide array of learnings are shared without shoving the conventional ones aside.

Information is being transmitted. Knowledge is being moulded. Intelligence is being promoted. And wisdom is being built. From this, a learner earned its learning experience.

Since learners vary in acquiring the concepts of the course, situations, or frameworks, it was expected that they also vary on the learning experience. Thus, it paves a way in the reinforcement of pedagogical techniques and strategies. To dig deeper, in this article, you will have a wider perspective about what the learning experience is all about.

What is Learning experience?

Every human has its own learning experiences. In fact, it can happen even outside the academe. One can learn from their schools or their daily life activities.

It can be in traditional scholastic settings, particularly formal learning, in which teachers, instructors, and trainers are physically teaching and guiding the students in the school.

Meanwhile, it can also have nontraditional academic setups, that is the informal way of learning, wherein learners are immersed outside the schools and classrooms, giving them broader alternatives and space to learn through the use of information and communications technology.

Observably, due to the more diverse and inclusive setups, education and learning are being facilitated into more dynamic and extensive methods. Hence, the term learning experience has extended its parameters into a wider perspective wherein encounters the conventional and modern techniques and formats.

Through that, learning experience tends to be meant as a more accurate term for the entire knowledge and wisdom nurturing of a learner, that is not shoving aside the avant-garde strategies and setup such as interactive software applications and eLearning games, either at home or the academe.

Since humans are different, we tend to vary in experiences. There are so many factors behind the picture of the learning experience. And the importance of it is commonly being neglected.

Eventually, it will be applied to the endeavours in life, bringing out the innermost potential within the students.

Lastly, it brings out the best in you. It enhances the knowledge and skills you have before. It provides you lifelong learning, by which it has left you the self-motivated idea of ongoing and continuous learning for self-sustainability.

Examples of a good learning experience

A good learning experience can be seen in a wide array of examples, including learning a bike that further motivates you in the engagement on biking tourneys, or just by simply being an athlete.

Examples of good learning experiences are shown in how we are learned from the things we were firstly curious about. Eventually, it leads us to success that we never thought of before.

From a good learning experience, we are handling the tasks and responsibilities that we can not do before, such as leading a team or volunteering for non-profit organizations. From that, we are giving our hands and minds to others; sharing our both skills and hearts with the people.

It also includes the things that we can discuss and explain by ourselves just by scrutinizing a scenario, such as explaining how the rainbow occurred after the rain in your vicinity.

Aside from that, an indication of a good learning experience also nurtures integrity and reputation. Specifically, doing the best method, we can do from what we have learned, to prevent leading from a mishap. For instance, a child knows the basic steps of cleaning a wound and how it can prevent the infection from doing it.

There are a lot of examples the good learning experience can include, but the main idea is that: it extends your hand and mind to the fullest wherein your innermost potential is being brought out.


Your learning experience is important. It serves as the stepping stone towards the bigger opportunities and responsibilities on your journey.

Always remember that learning is a continuous process. However, the experience is determining; it defines the learning that we can authentically grasp.
