Social Impact Queen's University Canada

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach and stewardship.

Queen’s University is highly-ranked in Canada for student experience, taking an inclusive approach and offering learning beyond the classroom; this experience includes the most clubs per capita of any Canadian University as well as a robust international exchange program with more than 220 partners.

There are three key criteria that institutions must meet to be included in the ranking:

  • Publish a sufficient number of academic papers over a five-year period – this threshold is currently set at 1,000 papers
  • Teach undergraduates
  • Work across a range of subjects

Queen’s research-intensive environment and interdisciplinary program offerings provide students with the comprehensive and nimble skills required in today’s competitive and evolving workforce with 91% of Queen’s grads employed within six months after graduation.
